► The trial of suspected terrorist Abu Hamza al-Masri began in New York City yesterday. According to CNN, al-Masri is accused of 11 counts of terrorism, including attempting to kidnap American citizens in Yemen and establish a terrorist training camp in Oregon. Prosecutors claim that al-Masri actively participated in al Qaeda activities and served as a recruiter. The defense argue that al-Masri has strong religious views but has committed no crime. If convicted, al-Masri could face life in prison.
