► The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) has released the 2013 Report on Security Clearance Determinations, which provides the number of security clearance determinations categorized by type of employee—government or contract—and by clearance level. The report also details how many clearances were approved last year and how many remain under investigation. A new feature of the report is an analysis that shows how many cleared individuals accessed classified information and how many were merely approved for access. According to the report, the number of people granted access to classified information grew by 232,628 in 2013 but the number of people who accessed information fell by 27,064.
