June 5th, At 7 pm- Panel Discussion The Role of Congress In International Crises

On behalf of FMC, I’d like to invite you, the faculty and students in your department, and anyone else you know who would be interested to attend a panel discussion on The Role of Congress in International Crises.
 
The free event will take place at the National Archives on Thursday, June 5th at 7pm. Panelists will include former House SpeakerDennis Hastert; former Members of CongressChris Shays, and John Tanner; and journalistBob Woodward. The panel will be moderated by Clinton White House Press Secretary Mike McCurry.  Opening remarks will be given by Archivist of the United States, David Ferriero, and Connie Morella, president of FMC.
 
We would be most grateful if you could pass on this information and the event description below to anyone at UDC who might be interested. Any outreach through departmental email listservs of current and former students, Twitter, and/or Facebook would be invaluable in helping us get the word out about this great event.
