In an internationally coordinated raid, seven professional cyber criminals have been arrested for stealing more than $1.6 million in StubHub tickets, according to USA TODAY. Three people were taken into custody in London, two in New York, one in Toronto, and one in Spain. “Today’s law enforcement action reflects the increasingly global landscape in which financial and cyber criminals operate,” Manhattan District Atttorney Cyrus Vance, Jr., said. “Fighting cybercrime today, as this demonstrates, requires international cooperation.” The suspects somehow gained access to 1,600 StubHub accounts and used stored credit card information to purchase tickets.
