The White House announced a $10 billion fund for rural infrastructure yesterday, according to CBS News. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and CoBank CEO Robert Engel discussed the project at the Rural Opportunity Investment Conference in Washington, D.C. The private fund will provide jobs to rural areas and encourage private investment in infrastructure projects. “This is a new way for us to do business,” Vilsack said. “This is us connecting. We’re going to be able to do more projects and create more opportunities as a result.
